Here’s a painting from 2004/05 that I never took a picture of but found on the internet, it’s called ‘Hearts Above’, a very simple image with funnily enough 3D style hearts, something I have only returned to in the last two months. I must have painted this then moved on forgetting all about them, the background is a misty affair on black and the painting itself was very small compared to now as I was still unsure of my skills and became scared when a canvas went bigger than 24’’. Times change and I wouldn’t dream of doing anything smaller than 24’’ now, nice to see it again, I wonder what happened to the other eight I forgot to photograph?Friday, July 10, 2009
